• No watering
A huge variety of plants– many of them of a rare beauty – can cope with arid conditions. Provided you observe a few golden rules to ensure they adapt to your garden, from the end of their first year they won’t need watering.
• Easy to look after
By systematically mulching your flowerbeds, you can do away with weeding. Plants suited to arid conditions do not require fertilizers and are often less vulnerable to insects and disease. Grass lawns can be replaced by ground-covering plants which resist being trodden on and require neither mowing nor watering.
